📍Where in the world is Déja? 🌎✨ — Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪
Happy Black History Month! One of the must-see attractions in Berlin is the East Side Gallery. The art gallery consists of 105 murals painted on a 4,000+ ft stretch of the Berlin Wall that was not destroyed. Walking along the gallery can be quite emotional, because of what the history that is represents, but the gallery itself was created to document a time of change and hopes for a better, more free world. I was very pleasantly surprised to see a few murals that included black people and culture in these plans for a “more free world”. My favorite mural included paintings of Nelson Mandela and Ray Charles (swipe left to see it). — Have you ever visited the Berlin Wall?
