My only trip to the Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA) region so far was when I backpacked solo across Europe after graduating from undergrad. My parents were worried sick, but it was just me, my travel blanket & pillow, and my backpack! Though not my first solo trip, I was still nervous, scared, and excited all at the same time. Plus, it was my longest time ever being away from the US -- THREE WEEKS! A wonderful trip indeed, I learned a lot and saw some amazing architecture. I can't wait to tell you all about it!
