Being raised in the Midwest, seeing land that isn’t flat is both very uncommon and very intriguing to me. So when my friend said: “Let’s go hiking” I had no clue what to expect... but the adventure lover in me couldn’t say no. & Thankfully I didn’t, because the view from the highest point in the city of San Diego was simply amazing! 😍 Climbing to the top of Cowlies Mountain in Mission Trails Park means climbing to almost 1,600ft above sea level. With the hot sun beaming down and only one bottle of water each to ration, it was a challenge for this city girl that had never hiked before (and doesn’t even like taking the stairs). But omg, SO worth it! Got to the top and had to just sit for a few minutes and take in all the natural beauty. — Have you gone hiking before?
