Happy Black History Month! The Trap Music Museum was created by Atlanta-born Rapper T.I., who is known as one of the pioneers of Trap Music. Through a variety of artwork (paintings, sculptures, photos, etc) by black artists, this museum highlights more than just trap music — it highlights black culture. It truly allows all who visit to get a peak into the lifestyle that was a reality for many prominent trap artists, which includes drugs and violence among other things. The museum has exhibits paying homage to rappers like Gucci Mane, Rick Ross, and even the late Nipsey Hussle. It also features Escape the Trap, which is an escape room themed around “the trap” (swipe left to see it defined). Though popularized for the great photo ops, the museum definitely kept me intrigued and learning the entire time. — Have you visited the Trap Music Museum? What were your thoughts?
