Back in June we took the barge over from St. Thomas to St. John, and then hiked down to Honeymoon Beach. We couldâve chosen to park and then pay $5 for the golf cart to take you down, buttttt the hike was more fun. It wasnât superrr clearly marked, so we needed local help to find the start. And even once it started, we were a little confused on where to go. The hike was extremely rocky & narrow; 10/10 do not recommend doing it in sandals and/or with small children. Overall Honeymoon Beach was cool, not as amazing as I was expecting. It used to be attached to a very nice resort, but apparently the owners lease ran out and they chose to not renew (during the golf cart ride you can even see the abandoned rooms/facilities). But they still have food (not very much, and a bit expensive), and packages that you can purchase for chair rentals, snorkeling, paddle boarding, and kayaking! Cool experience, wouldnât consider it a must visit though. Stay tuned for more posts about traveling SAFELY during a pandemic.
